World Environment Council Contributes to 2025 UN Ocean Conference Concept Papers

The World Environment Council (WEC), under the leadership of Prof. Ganesh Channa, Founder and President, has made significant contributions to the 2025 UN Ocean Conference through its input to the Global Online Stakeholder Consultation. The council's contributions, crafted by Prof. Channa, have been included in the Ocean Action Panels' Concept Papers, which will shape global policies and strategies for ocean sustainability.

WEC's key insights and recommendations are featured in Page 10 and Page 20 of the concept papers. These inputs emphasize the importance of sustainable ocean management, climate change mitigation, and the promotion of blue economy initiatives, all crucial to safeguarding marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

Prof. Channa's contributions reflect WEC’s commitment to driving ocean conservation efforts on a global scale, fostering collaborations among governments, organizations, and stakeholders to build a more sustainable and resilient ocean future. The 2025 UN Ocean Conference will be a vital platform for addressing global challenges facing the world’s oceans, seas, and marine resources.
