Remuneration: Interns who demonstrate sincerity,
honesty, and professionalism throughout their tenure will receive an Internship
Certificate.
Exceptional performance will be recognized with

WEC India presents an exciting Internship
Programme in New Delhi and Pune, offering flexible durations of one year, six
months, and three months. With vacancies available year-round, we welcome
interns from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about environmental issues
and eager to make a global impact.

Foreign Student Internship:
We extend a warm invitation to foreign interns
who are enthusiastic about addressing India's social, environmental, and
business-related challenges. Whether your passion lies in natural resources
management, climate change adaptation and mitigation, UN Sustainable
Development Goals, international cooperation, bilateral foreign relations,
multilateralism, or any other topic listed in the Focus Areas or Campaigns on
the World Environment Council website, we encourage you to apply.

tasks, there are opportunities for you to contribute and make a difference.

Interns are
offered one of the assignments among areas listed below.
EDITORIAL & CONTENT
DEVELOPMENT
Our interns help our Events and Program, Editorial and Communication team to
write/edit/proof-check articles and blogs. They also chip in for research,
graphics designing, content development and fact-checking.
OUTREACH:
Interns play a pivotal role in our outreach efforts, engaging in various
activities such as media interactions, drafting press materials, identifying
stakeholder engagement opportunities, devising innovative social media
campaigns, contributing to newsletters, and liaising with key stakeholders.
OPERATIONS:
We organize numerous events that unite experts, scholars, opinion leaders, and
dignitaries from both national and international spheres for constructive
debates and dialogues. These prestigious events demand meticulous planning, and
our interns play a crucial role in their execution across various operational
levels.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC
RELATIONS
Interns
interested in branding, image cultivation, business development, fundraising,
reporting, and public relations are assigned similar short-term projects.
INTERNSHIP QUALIFICATION :
We
welcome applications from students pursuing Master's or Bachelor's degrees in
fields such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Commerce, Public Policy,
Political Science, Economics, History, Law, Journalism, and Communication. We
seek interns who are resourceful, possess exceptional organizational and
communication abilities, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. We value
self-starters who can work autonomously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, computer graphics, design software, and
mobile applications is highly desirable. Candidates with experience in
analytical tools like SPSS, Econometrics, and statistical software, as well as
knowledge of mathematical modeling, will be preferred for certain assignments
requiring technical expertise. Additionally, familiarity with video recording
and editing, Photoshop, Flex, and banner creation will be considered
advantageous.
Areas of Engagements
Interns are encouraged to engage in various areas including Administration, HR, Finance, IT, Content Writing with strong presentation skills, Report Writing, Documentation, Event Management, Field Visits, Primary and Secondary Surveys, Monitoring & Evaluation, Photography, Architecture & Engineering, Community Work, Emergency Response, Technology, Media Engagement & Public Relations, and Translation services from Hindi to English, English to Hindi, or any other regional Indian language to English and vice versa.
